Ok guys, here is the question of the day. Tell me why this is happening. I have been taking EFX for 3 weeks now. I am active. I work out every day, but got injured, so had to take it easy for about a week. But, I still was active, just not as intense. I am F 5'3" and I've been taking EFX to help me reach my goal weight. I know that it will take a while, but I needed a little extra boost and help. My goal weight is 116-120pds. I weight 130pds. I am a runner, so I also have that going for me too, so you would think the EFX would work after all the work-outs I do.
So the EFX should be working right? I am taking the recommended doses and eased into the EFX cause my weight is under 150. I haven't lost 1 pound! Not 1! I have read all these reviews where people have lost weight in 1 week on EFX and being active. People have lost 5pds in 1 week. Oh yeah, and I eat great too. I am eating all fruits, veggies, lean meats, and tuna. Thats it! Whats the deal!? I am trying so hard to lose this extra weight and I thought EFX could help get me there. Any suggestions? Help? Guidance? Am I doing something wrong here? Does anyone have experience with EFX? Cause I am getting dissapointed. This product seems to have worked for so many people within just a couple of weeks.
Thanks guys! |

Its all about calories in and calories out, the EFX will help but you got to be burning more calories than you are consuming. Remember to eat 6 small meals per day and get plenty of sleep. Other than that I don't know what to tell you. |

Thanks for the advice. I will keep that in mind. Even though I feel that I am burning more cal. than I am taking in. But, I am glad that you brought that to my attention cause I will be more aware of it now. And I have such a small appetite as it is and don't eat very much through out the day. But, when I do eat, its healthy. So maybe I'll try to eat the 6 small meals a day. That has always been so hard for me because I do have such a small appetite and its hard for me to eat complete meals. I usually have a small salad and I am full. Anyway, but I will try anything cause I really want EFX to work and get some of this weight off. Its just frustrating because I know people who have ate bad and did absoultely no exercise at all and they've lost weight-5pds in like a week!
Thanks for your help! |

I posted this elsewhere as well but I'll offer it up again.
To make sure you know what your caloric intake should be use this formula:
For men: (10 x w) + (6.25 x h) - (5 x a) + 5
For women:(10 x w) + (6.25 x h) - (5 x a) - 161
w=weight in kg
h=height in cm
a=age
Take the answer to the formula from above and factor it by your daily activity level:
x1.2 Bed Rest
x1.3 Sedentary
x1.4 Active
x1.5 Very Active
The final number you get is how many calories you need to ingest daily to MAINTAIN your current weight. It's recommended to eat 500 a day less to lose or 500 a day more to gain. Eating 100 calories or more less than you need is not advisable as the weight you lose will end up being muscle, not fat and you'll screw up your metabolism.
Maxpower is right , eat more frequently and in smaller amounts. Also, stay away from high carb/sugar products that will raise your insulin levels way up as this will mtigate fat loss and cause more sugar cravings/hunger. Too much alcohol is bad too - it can retard fat loss for up to 48hrs after consumption so stay off the sauce!
Most of all, be patient. You should only be losing 1-2 lbs a week. Any more than that and you are probably burning muscle. Make sure you are doing some resistance training as well (not too heavy), it will help keep your metabolism up and maintain your muscle mass/tone.
Good luck. _________________ Beware my friends as you pass by. As you are now so once was I. As I am now, so you must be, prepare my friends to follow me

FZ1,
Thank you for the formulas. I figured it out and now know what type of cal. I should be intaking. I think this will help a lot, just knowing what I can and can't eat. I do cardio and resistance training 3-5 times a week. Hopefully, the Xen EFX should be kicking in soon. Thanks again for the formulas. I know what to look for in foods now for cal. |

Ok, guys, heres another question that maybe you can help me with. Do any of you have any experience with EFX? Because I had some questions about taking it. I have been taking it and so far so good. I had the jitters for a while, but that is normal. I just eased into it since I am under 150pds. I have been following the instructions on the bottle.
But, my question is, after you take the EFX is it ok if ya don't work out right after taking it? I just don't want to take it and then have it go to waste because I couldn't get my work out in. This happened a lot when I was injured, I wasn't able to work out, but I still took the EFX. The back of the bottle says that you should take it before your meal OR before a work out. So I usually take it before my meals and then I will take the second dosage before my work out. But, sometimes, I am not able to get the work out done for that night and then I am like oh great, was that second dose just a waste? I was just wondering.
Thanks for your help guys! |
