Lol we didn't care if anyone was reading man it was us three just expressing views. I could give two about the outcome but it just started rolling and we all got caught with it. Yes, I will also stop posting after this. Good argument, opinionated one at that. No hard feelings either as well. Hooah, hoorah, we all served, took the oath, and are doing more of a part than others. Compromise so to say. Take it easy. _________________ Build up your weaknesses, until they become your strengths. |

The way I OWN YOU acts is the reason why I couldn't wait to get out of the marines. I swear 90% of the people in the Marine corps act like they are a godsend and they know / do everything better then anyone in the world. They look at Civilians like they are cows, they look and talk about other branches like they are windowlickers. Quit acting like you are something better, if you have pride great, glad you do. What are you to say they dont have pride? We are all here to do one thing, lets keep it that way. No reason to start a fight with people you should respect. Sounds like you need to get off the high horse and wake up.
For everyone still in the branchs kudo's and great job. Hope everything is well.
Now if I had to re do it, I would go army and take the paycheck, money over anything the marines has to offer.
I was an 1142 electrical equipment repair specialist. IE anything electrical breaks im suppose to know how to fix it, in reality it means gen shed really lol. (generators) Now, from what my friend in the army was saying, something breaks they just get a new one, they dont have an 1142 MOS / anything like it. Instead they fill out some form, get a new one in no time.
Again, hope this helps with the picking of which branch. |

The Marines are more impressive once you're out as well as while you're in. The bar is literally set much higher than the other branches. I did a TDY at an Air Force base in Texas for 6 months and was amazed at how lax their conduct was. Although the food was fantastic!
But don't take the plunge unless you know what you're getting into. I have no doubt as to how tough you are, but the hardest part is actually wanting to be there. Especially the first year or so.
I lost two fingers outside of Baghdad in '03 and crushed my knee in Fallujah and had to have it replaced in '05. I still believe that my first year in the Corps was the toughest. |

i know its been awhile since i replied but. i made my decision awhile back. army it is, for someone looking for a career in the military it seams ideal. also i met some rangers and they captivated me. they told what they do and what they trained for. at that point, my mind was made up. army it is, and hopefully i can make it as a ranger or atleast airborne. |
