Oh thats interesting.. I honestly did not know nor do i normally do that..
I never really asked my friends who compete if they did that or not.. Now I am beginning to wonder if thats how they measure too. I am going to ask tomorrow while I am at the gym..

I guess its probably different for actual competing bodybuilders (which most of us on here aren't) It would make sense for a bodybuilder to measure their arms when pumped because they will have a pump when they walk on stage... so that makes sense. I think the average joe that just measures to gauge his progress should measure their arms without a pump, flexed and unflexed. Very Happy

Most of us do measure both pumped and without that is why I said I am 19.5 cold and 20.5 pumped, bodybuilder or not still thought everyone knew this u guys not read muscle magazines growing up lol? Even mens health says to measure both ways not just flexed and unflexed I would never measure unflexed that does me no good lol! Flexed cold meaning like right now then flexed after a arm workout when all the blood is rushed into bi and tri u measure.

Speaking of the blood flow and the pump I have a really interesting document on that.. I will have to go look it up and post.

LOL not sure about the others on here but i PREFER to measure pumped....looks better that way to me!! hahaha

I think the only time i measure cold (if i remember) is just before i leave for the gym. Or if some fucked instructions i've read somewhere told me too!!!! lol

it just dosen't give an accurate representation of the progress that you've made, thats all. Its good though as long as you do it both ways, not a problem. Very Happy

hey i've been struggling also with the abs showing......the only time i see some nice definition is first thing in the morning out of bed when i stretch in the bathroom for my morning piss!!!!

i've been really watching my diet and taking a ec stack and doing a lot of weighted ab exercises....i've come closer to my goal but i swear the abs are the most stubborn muscle in the body!!!! i'd just say you look pretty close to having a good defeinition just keep up the good work....looking tuff bro!

I know this is stupid but I really needed to front load something this last cycle.... I am 1 week into the finish and I might just throw the anadrol in for the hell of it bump it 6 lbs or so then run the HCG and Nolva.. I normally don't slop my cycles like that But I just really want the extra 5 - 6lbs. This cycle was defenently a mess but I do like the results as far as BF% goes and also I like the increases in strength.

Scale weight back up to 208lbs. Strength still increasing. getting over 210 should not be too far off. I plan on gaining 5 lbs here pretty quick throwing me at 213.. That is at least close to goal so I will be happy.

I think i will gain to like 213 or so and lose 4lbs - 5 lbs.. But no big deal its just water anyways more of my abdominals will come out.


My lifting stats are actually pretty close to yours...

Bench - Rep range = 245 lbs
Cable Rows single arm - rep range = 120lbs
Squats Rep range = 305lbs
Barbell Curls rep range = 115lbs
Seated dumbell curls Rep range = 55 - 45 for 10 - 15 reps
standing skull crushers behind the neck = 100 - 110lbs rep range
Leg Press rep range = 630lbs
Incline Dumbells Rep range = 90's
flat Dumbells Rep range = 110's


My regular rep range is between 8 - 10 reps. Dumbells I do a bit more reps.

I really am not that strong considering the size I am now.. But my rep ranges have greatly increased in some area's. I won't max out until I add 50 - 100lbs onto every lift.


Anyways Old rep ranges:

Bench - Rep range = 225 lbs
Cable Rows single arm - rep range = 90lbs
Squats Rep range = 275lbs
Barbell Curls rep range = 95lbs
Seated dumbell curls Rep range = 40 - 35 for 10 - 15 reps
standing skull crushers behind the neck = 80 - 90lbs rep range
Leg Press rep range = 540lbs
Incline Dumbells Rep range = 80's
flat Dumbells Rep range = 95's

wow good job ace yea your legs put mine to shame cause i got a knee injury 2 months back and have been scared to put any real weight on them but my upper body is pretty tight im gonna be going on a nice cycle soon ill catch up Wink
